Dr. Deborah Hoyles is a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is an ordained Minister with a Master of Arts in Ministry from Indiana Wesley Seminary. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Roosevelt University, Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and her Doctorate in Pastoral Psychology from the Theological Graduate Foundation. In addition, Dr. Hoyles received an advanced certification in Business Management with a concentration in Strategic Planning from the University of Illinois’ Entrepreneurial program.
Dr. Hoyles is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been a Social Service Administrator with various Social Service, Child-Welfare, and Medical organizations beginning in 1983. Her expertise is in mental health counseling with Individuals, Families, Groups, and Older Adults, as well as supervision with entry-level and advanced-level clinicians. Her areas of concentration are in Complex Traumas, Depression, Anxiety, Self-Care, and Compassion-Fatigue. Currently, Dr. Hoyles is employed as a Therapist with the Veterans Administration. She enjoys Mentoring, Strategic Planning, Grant-writing, and Consultation. In addition, Dr. Hoyles has served as an Illinois Mental Health Delegate with the People to People Ambassadors in the Czech Republic in Prague as well as Warsaw and Krakow Poland, and the People’s Republic of China in Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
Dr. Hoyles is a former Social Work Adjunct Professor with Governors State University and a Social Work Field Instructor/ Supervisor for numerous Universities in Chicago, IL, and Northwest Indiana. Dr. Hoyles maintains a private practice in behavioral healthcare and consulting services and is an advocate for a wholistic approach to spiritual, mental, and emotional growth, that yields one’s best self.
